HERO 482 - Oil Acrylic Graphite on Canvas
I love this piece for many reasons. I love the raven and it is one of my animal totems. This raven says to me, "Be your own hero - You are a hero." It makes me feel I can and will rise to the occasion. I love the two companion pieces created to go with this one so be sure and check them out. I love a triptych!

My art explores the tension between the natural world and the civilized world especially as it relates to being a woman and mother. The forces and expectations of both create questions, anxiety and pockets of joy and peace that I attempt to capture through my art and writing
