We are part of a show at the Osborn Woods Gallery Exhibit called RESPOND. This exhibit explores social, environmental and cultural vocabulary in the hopes to incite the viewer to respond, react, and question their community environments. I have chosen my own muses and iconic women in history who have inspired me to create for this Gallery Collection. This bag is made from a very vintage San Blas Mola of a Mermaid Goddess. Mermaids are fairly rare in San Blas iconography so when I find them I hate to let them go. This one is from my Mother's collection so it's great great juju! The bag is a medium weight cotton canvas in black - unlined with a 1" velcro closure at the top center. The handles are 26" long so it's super comfortable on the shoulder. The bag is trimmed in a handwoven cotton Guatamalan textile and a handwoven Indian Ikat. The bag has a gusseted bottom and holds a lot of things! If you want to have the Mermaid Goddess at your side all day long this is a great way to do it! The bag is $85 and we have added $6.80 for shipping.
